There is a 4-hour limit in place to ensure customers of Castlepoint Shopping Park can park easily and that this free service is not abused by those parking for free and heading off site.
Point Park's 16 acres provides overlooks, monuments, and cannon positions interpreting the Battle of Lookout Mountain as well as the other Battles for Chattanooga. Park Point is a small park located at the top of Lookout Mountain at its most northern tip. It is part of the Chattanooga Unit of Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. The River Street car park (River Street, Windsor, SL4 1QT), located on the opposite side of the street from the castle, charges quite a high hourly rate, but it is just a short distance away. Parking is free from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. on weekdays, but it is charged from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. on weekends.
This loop hike runs along the shore of scenic Ramapo Lake and climbs to the ruins of an old stone castle and tower, with panoramic views. 41.047479, -74.251313. At the northwest end of the parking area, you will see a sign for the Castle Loop. This trail will be your route for the entire hike. Follow the white blazes into the woods, bear left KavJStl.
